An exciting opportunity to advise your future workforce

In view of the national skills shortage, it does take some effort to promote your business to the right person who one day may become your best salesperson, tradesperson, office assistant or professional employee who helps your business to be a success.

This year on Wednesday 29 July, Chinchilla State High School will host the Western Downs Careers Expo for the Secondary School students of the Chinchilla, Tara, Miles, Wandoan and Taroom districts and other interested parties. The event will be conducted in a similar format to last year.

The focus of the day is to:
  • Showcase the local area to our students for employment as well as the tertiary education options.
  • Give advice for students and parents to gain better information about the careers selection process.
  • Allow the local businesses to highlight their job needs and profile their businesses in the local community.
  • Co-ordinate other activities in the afternoon such as hands-on sessions.
